Description:
Hand-knit with red Icelandic Wool from a vintage 18th Century Scandanavian pattern.

Story

Each cuddly soft and toasty warm pair of Rocky Mountain Mittens is a one-of-a-kind piece of art lovingly knit by Linda Hellberg George from a 19th century pattern inherited from her Swedish grandmother. The Mittens are made with hand-dyed Lopi Sheep wool imported from Iceland and mohair from Italy. The naturally water and soil-resistant and anti-bacterial properties of wool means they’ll hold up under extreme wear. The Women's Mittens come with a pewter button emblazoned with a Nordic symbol from which you can hang the Mittens when not in use or hang them from your mantel instead of stockings. The Children’s Mittens are true Heirlooms. Once your children have outgrown them you can keep the Mittens for your grandchildren or save the Mittens in a frame or shadowbox as a charming piece of sentimental folk art. Either way, we know you will enjoy your Mittens for years to come.
